Founded in 1853, CAS serves 80,000 children at 45 locations in New York City and Westchester, and its Adolescent Pregnancy Prevention Program and National Center for Community Schools serve thousands more nationally.Mr. Buery previously co-founded Groundwork, a nonprofit serving families in Brooklyn public housing, iMentor, a youth mentoring organization that has matched 10,000 pairs and is undergoing a national expansion, and the Mission Hill Summer Camp in Roxbury.
