In this webinar, researchers from the Center for Local, State, and Urban Policy (CLOSUP) will present results from the Spring 2017 Michigan Public Policy Survey (MPPS) covering Michigan local leaders's views on a range of issues regarding their jurisdiction's workforce. Issues include employee pay and fringe benefit rates, adequacy of the workforce size for delivering desired services, changes since the Great Recession, and personnel problems experienced, such as with recruitment and retention.
CLOSUP has also released a report on many of these findings.
The MPPS is a census survey of all 1,856 general purpose local governments in Michigan conducted by CLOSUP at the University of Michigan in partnership with the Michigan Municipal League, Michigan Townships Association, and Michigan Association of Counties
