Despite Harassment, Local Officials Positive About Political Discourse

Although the tone of political discourse seems increasingly hostile, a new survey from the University of Michigan's Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy suggests that things might not be as bad as they seem. The results of the Michigan Public Policy Survey conducted through the Center for Local, State and Urban Policy showed that at the community level, local leaders in Michigan report that civic relationships and discussions of local policy issues are positive, with some officials reporting slight improvements.
