This video reports on the fact that anyone searching for Slimtide capsules reviews should be aware of weight loss scam marketing. Dr. Ania Jastreboff, Oprah Winfrey and Jennifer Garner never backed Slimtide capsules or any baking soda mixture recipe for weight loss, and no "baking soda water shot" secret ingredient routine exists, either.

My name is Jordan Liles. I am a senior reporter with Snopes.com by day. I come here to my YouTube channel on nights and weekends to help consumers stay away from scams. In my investigation, I found that scammers marketed Slimtide capsules, first in social media ads leading to lengthy video presentations hosted on websites. Those video presentations falsely claimed — with deepfake AI depictions — Dr. Ania Jastreboff, Oprah Winfrey, Jennifer Garner and other prominent figures talked about the product. No doctors, hospitals, universities or famous people ever endorsed Slimtide capsules or a kitchen recipe for weight loss.

The scammers used the classic recipe lie strategy in an attempt to hook consumers into watching entire video presentations. The presentations initially promise a recipe using baking soda in a "baking soda water shot." However, the videos never end up providing any such mixture ingredients, insead pitching an offer for Slimtide capsules.

In the past, I've found scams similar to the baking soda recipe offer and Slimtide capsules pitch hiding subscription charges of hundreds of dollars per month. Also, some money-back guarantees might not be honored. Surprise, surprise.

Anyone victimized by this scam should file a complaint with the Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3) via IC3.gov. Include as many details as possible, such as any names, mailing addresses, phone numbers and email addresses appearing in correspondence or on your bank or credit card statements. Also, feature in your complaint how you discovered the ads for the scam, link to the website where the scam took you to, etc. Every detail is important.
