CLOSUP - Visiting Scholars
Lydia Wileden is a PhD Candidate in Public Policy and Sociology and a 2017 CLOSUP Research Scholar. Her research examines the processes and impacts of neighborhood change, with a focus on how individuals' perceptions of neighborhood reputation and stigma affect neighborhood desirability and residential mobility. Prior to entering graduate school, Lydia worked in Congress for the Office of the Democratic Leader and later for a government-funded nonprofit developing strategies to spur investment in blighted communities. She holds a BA from Barnard College, Columbia University and an MA from the University of Michigan.
